Maximus Jaxson is a self-taught digital illustrator that has been developing his drawing talent formally and informally since childhood. He creates works of art that reflect and highlight the beauty and struggles of people across the African Diaspora.
Born and raised in Harlem, NY, urban culture and the broader black experience is the primary inspiration and lens through which he creates his work. Jaxson aims to add color to the dreary as well as revitalize, and bring innovation and freshness to history. He hopes that his work will invoke a sense of pride, inspiration and happiness to its viewers.
